How to Cook Blonde Rice
For every 1 cup of rice make sure to add 1.5 cups of water.
- Rinse 1 cup of rice.
- In a medium saucepan, bring 1.5 cups of water to a gentle boil.
- Add the rinsed rice to the boiling water.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover with a tight-fitting lid.
- Simmer on low for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for an additional 5 minutes.
-Fluff the rice with a fork and serve.
How to Cook Brown Rice
For every 1 cup of rice make sure to add 2 cups of water.
- Rinse 1 cup of rice.
- In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil.
- Add the rinsed rice to the boiling water.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover with a tight-fitting lid.
- Simmer on low for 40 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for an additional 5 minutes.
