- 2 tablespoons of butter (or substitute)
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- Additional cinnamon sugar for topping (optional)

Please Note: For this easy sweet rice recipe we will be using cooking instructions for Chico Rice Blonde Milled California Japonica rice. If you are using a different rice, please follow the cooking instructions for that rice. After cooking, you can resume your instructions at #4 as the rest of the instructions remain the same no matter the rice type.
- Rinse 1 cup of Chico Rice’s Blonde Milled California Japonica Rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch and prevents the rice from becoming too sticky.
- Add the rinsed rice to 1.5 cups of gently boiling water in a medium saucepan with a tight lid.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan with a lid, and let the rice simmer for about 20 minutes.
